Hardware development

Currently there are two main hardware development projects in the lab. We are building a video microscope system to track c. elegans behavior and we are building a device to administer focused ultrasound in the PET/MR environment. We also build a variety of smaller equipment for our lab and other labs, mainly MRI compatible devices and phantoms for human and animal experiments.

To build our devices, we have a variety of tools including 4 filament 3-D printers, a UV-resin 3D printer, a laser cutter, a variety of shop tools.  We have a variety of tools for electronics, (digital, analog, and RF) including a spectrum analyzer, broadband power amplifiers, o-scopes, function generators, and lots of microcontrollers.
